Cyberoam today announced the launch of CCC500 and CCC1000 appliances in its centralised security management offerings, scaling to meet the demands of MSSP and distributed enterprise networks having up to 1000 Cyberoam UTM appliances. These appliances come with an all-new firmware to support the latest Cyberoam UTM firmware versions, while housing several new features that bring better flexibility, controls and security management capabilities.

STC deploys Motive technology to enhance customer service

STC, the national telecommunications provider in Saudi Arabia, has selected Motive, a leading provider of customer experience management solutions for fixed and mobile broadband services and an Alcatel-Lucent company, to deliver its Network Analyzer - Fiber (NA-F) solution. Motive's Network Analyzer - Fiber (NA-F) will help STC reduce the complexity and cost of delivering and managing new fiber services such as high-speed Internet and IPTV. The solution also will help improve customer service while reducing customer support handling times and generate new revenue by simplifying processes needed to increase line speeds.

Google is announcing the launch of Umbono, its new technology incubator, which will be based in Cape Town, South Africa. Bringing together seed capital, Google mentorship, angel investors, local tech stars, entrepreneurs and business leaders, the Umbono programme will help selected start-up teams transform their ideas into companies. Software AG recorded a significant increase in revenues in the fourth quarter of 2010. At €326.7 million, total revenues were 12 per cent higher than the same quarter of the previous year (€292.1 million). The product business picked up sharply in the fourth quarter in particular, totaling €222.0 million and exceeding the figure for the same period of the previous year (€181.1 million) by 23 per cent. Significant revenue increases, largely owing to an increased number of big deals and initial cross-selling successes, followed the successful integration of IDS Scheer AG and its software product portfolio. Revenue and earnings also benefited from currency translation effects, especially in the Americas.

The Ideos X5 is a high performance, ultra slim, touch-screen smartphone with advanced browsing and high definition video capabilities based on Android 2.2 operating system.
