Etisalat launches ‘Hello Business Pitch’ competition

Etisalat has announced the launch of ‘Hello Business Pitch’ competition designed to encourage home grown Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) and start-ups as well as to promote the growth and innovation of businesses in the UAE.

Etisalat’s ‘Hello Business Pitch’ provides an opportunity for start-ups to pitch their business ideas in front of an expert panel of judges who will be assessing their business model through the strength of their pitch. This new initiative is in line with Etisalat’s continuous efforts to support SMBs and start-ups in the UAE and position Etisalat as the preferred business partner of choice.

Esam Mahmoud, acting Senior Vice President, SMB, Etisalat, said, “Today SMBs play an integral role in the development of the country and contribute more than 60 percent towards the country’s GDP. As we work towards the UAE Vision 2021 in making the country the best in the world by becoming a global hub for knowledge-based, sustainable and innovative businesses, this competition supports these long-term objectives by giving SMBs a pedestal to showcase their pioneering and innovative business ideas.

“The ‘Hello Business Pitch’ is one such an initiative that aims to bring growth and innovation in the SMB sector. We look forward to receiving nominations from start-ups enabling them to present their pioneering ideas to a panel of experts and gain industry recognition.”

A panel of judges will select the top five winners who will be awarded prizes worth up to AED 180,000 in the form of business devices, Etisalat services and National Bonds at the Hello Business Hub located in One JLT, Jumeirah Lake Towers on the 2ndMay, 2018.

SMBs and start-ups are invited to submit their entries to hellobusinesspitch@etisalat.ae by 15th April. To be eligible, your business should be commercially viable, tried and tested with a minimum of two years of experience, and Impactful with the potential to influence your industry.
