NetApp introduces new storage offerings

NetApp introduced new offerings, including both new solutions and software, to its Big Data analytics portfolio. Amongst these new offerings is the NetApp Converged Infrastructure Solution for Data Analytics, the first available NVMe-enabled solution in this particular market. The new offerings bring cost-effectiveness and ultrafast performance to Big Data analytics.

The NetApp EF570 all flash range, is a midrange storage space system that uses two-times throughput performance as compared to previous versions. The 4th generation all-flash array made specifically for performance-intensive works such as big data analytics, technical computing and video surveillance, currently supplies up to 21GBps of bandwidth, 1M sustained IOPS, sub-100 microsecond latency, and support for 100Gb NVMe over InfiniBand to raise application responsiveness and speed up analytics – all in a compact, 2U bundle. The system supports 367TB of raw flash capacity in a modular 2U building block that ranges to 1.8 PB.

The NetApp E5700 Series is a hybrid-flash system developed with NetApp SANtricity os adaptive caching formulas for a large variety of application works. Needing simply 2U or 4U of rack area, the E5700 Series hybrid-flash variety integrates extreme IOPS, and sub-100 microsecond reaction times to increase application responsiveness and increase analytics. Customers could additionally experience seamless backup and recovery to the hybrid cloud with integration with NetApp Information Fabric.

Both the E5700 and EF570 sustain multiple high-speed host user interfaces consisting of – 32Gb Fibre Channel, 25Gb iSCSI, 100Gb InfiniBand, 12Gb SAS, and 100Gb NVMe over InfiniBand – making the EF570 and E5700 Collection one of the very first 2U varieties with support for NVMe.
