PQI’s My Lockey Clinches d&i Awards at Computex 2017

Reporting from Taipei, Taiwan: PQI of Foxlink Group has announced that its “My Lockey – Fingerprint ID Security” has won the Computex d&i Awards hosted by iF Germany and Taiwan External Trade and Development Council (TAITRA). Biometric recognition technology is not a new topic but with the recent rise of Internet of Things (IoT), Apple and Google Pay, biometric ID recognition has once again become the red-hot topic.

In order to tap into the $15 billion market, PQI has designed My Lockey specifically for personal data management, corporate data security and financial personnel ID applications. PQI’s My Lockey uses a stringent algorithm to verify the authenticity of a fingerprint.

The device can be used on desktops and laptops, thus allowing the device to be equipped with the latest biometric authentication functionality. Software wise, PQI My Lockey offers “Password Wallet”.

It features basic functions such as fingerprint ID to log into Windows Hello and “Secured Folder”, where users can drag and drop files into the folder for automatic encryption.

In addition, it provides fingerprint login to 50 most commonly used websites and social media platforms such as Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Amazon, Apple, Taobao, and so on.

Just follow the simple set up process and thereafter, login using the tip of your finger in 0.15 seconds. There is no need for account name or password. It greatly reduces the likelihood of your account being hacked or misused.

We will be reviewing the PQI My Lockey. So stay tuned!
