LG Launches X power2 With Android 7.0 and 4500mAh Battery

While LG is prepping to launch its new flagship – the G6 – at MWC this year, two days from now, the company has taken the wraps off of a more mid-range device. The LG X power2 is now official, and like last year’s X power, this device’s focus is on battery power. The X power2 comes equipped with a 4500mAh battery, which is slightly larger than the 4100mAh battery inside the original X power.

What’s more, LG has included fast charging with the X power2 so that you can refill that large battery pack in a hurry. LG touts that you can fill up the X power2’s battery by 50 percent with one hour of charging. Another highlight feature of the LG X power2 is its display. LG has included a feature called Comfort View that is aimed at making it easier to read eBooks and comics. It achieves this by reducing the amount of blue light that it emits, which may lower eye fatigue.

LG also placed a focus on the X power2’s camera performance. The rear 13-megapixel camera includes a Zero Shutter Lag feature to eliminate the lag that happens between you pressing the shutter button and the image being captured. And then there’s the 5-megapixel front-facing camera, which comes with a flash and a feature called Auto Shot that will automatically trigger the front camera’s shutter when it detects a face.

Rounding out the LG X power2’s spec list is a 5.5-inch HD display, octa-core processor, 1.5GB or 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a microSD slot, and Android 7.0 Nougat. LG plans to launch the X power2 in Latin America in March, followed by releases in the US, Asia, Europe, and other regions. No pricing details have been given.
