TP-Link Middle East to train & certify MEA partners

TP-Link has announced that it will help its systems integrator and solution provider partners to get trained and certified in the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
The announcement to focus on training and certifying channel partners comes as the networking solutions vendor moves to reinforce its SMB networking business across the region.

Shabih-Ul-HassnainShabih Ul Hassnain, Channel Manager, UAE at TP-Link Middle East and Africa (MEA), said the company has decided to focus on bridging the skills gap by providing training as an integral part of TP-Link’s partner offerings. “The focus on training is not just for partners as we want them to also help their end user customers to educate the in-house staff,” he said.

Commenting on the training program, Ul Hassnain said, “As a networking solutions vendor, TP-Link has defined the in house training and certification programmes to focus on getting partners certified as TPNA and TPNP. To achieve this objective, TP-Link has designed an online learning programme, which is available for the partners. The programmes are designed in such a way that participants get TP-Link certificates upon passing the examination.”

He explained that although TP-Link is doing its part to raise the skills bar, all channel stakeholders [vendors, distributors and reseller partners] need to do more to tackle the IT skills shortage and close the gap in the region.”

He pointed out that while training programmes are readily available, the challenge for both vendors and channel partners is keeping pace with training as well as developing the right mix of IT professionals.
