GBM recently announced the appointment of Ahmed Auda as their country general manager for Oman. Auda will be responsible for aligning GBM Oman with transformational IT initiatives in the public and private sectors, developing staff and participating in regional strategic initiatives.

“Oman continues to be an important market for GBM and we are confident that Ahmed will successfully execute our business and IT initiatives in the country. With Ahmed’s proven track record in linking corporate vision with strategy, we believe Ahmed is the right person for GBM to further grow our presence in the country. With his key skills in sales development, organizational alignment, effective leadership and compelling value proposition, Ahmed is bound to lead our Oman division ahead,” stated Philippe Jarre, CEO of GBM.

Auda brings over 20 years of IT sales, strategy and operations experience to GBM. Prior to his new role, Auda was the director of Software Group MEP for IBM Middle East and Africa in Dubai.

Commenting on his appointment, Auda stated, “With Oman’s impressive IT agenda, I am eager to work with our team, customers and partners in the country. I look forward to this new challenge and role with GBM. I continue to be committed to GBM’s new brand and ongoing mission as the company celebrates its 25th year anniversary this month.”
