DISTREE announces series of channel events for 2015

DISTREE Events has officially announced its 2015 event calendar, with six channel events planned around the world. DISTREE Events, a division of Infopro Digital, provides ICT and consumer electronics (CE) brands with the most efficient platform for managing, developing or launching volume routes-to-market for technology and consumer electronics (CE) products through e-tailers, retailers, resellers and distributors. The full line-up of DISTREE events for 2015 is as follows:

Delegates attending DISTREE events create their own personalised agenda of pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings prior to attending. This allows each participant to research and choose the correct companies to meet, ensuring they align with their precise business requirements.

DISTREE EMEA 2015, which takes place in Monaco in February 2015, is the largest independent event for the region’s volume channel, attracting more than 1000 senior executives. Next year’s event will take place at the Grimaldi Forum, with representatives from more than 150 brands set to attend. The event will include a new Smart Channels Summit focused on how the retail channel will evolve to deliver smart homes, connected devices and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions to consumers across Europe.

A new GfK advice service will also launch at DISTREE EMEA 2015, allowing delegates the opportunity to pre-schedule meetings with the GfK team at the event to discuss specific business issues or trends. Delegates will also receive advice and recommendations tailored to their precise needs.

DISTREE Middle East returns to Abu Dhabi in 2015, gathering senior executives from the region’s most influential retailers and e-tailers in one place at one time. With more than a decade’s experience in the region, DISTREE Middle East has become a ‘must attend’ event for the region’s retail channel, giving them a unique opportunity to meet leading vendors and emerging brands looking to increase their consumer channel reach.

The second annual DISTREE Africa takes place in Nairobi in June 2015, offering all ICT and CE brands an efficient and cost-effective gateway into the continent’s largest markets. DISTREE Africa 2015 will build on the success of this year’s launch event, which included presentations from major vendors such as Acer, Microsoft, Samsung and Toshiba among others. DISTREE Africa 2015 will open up Africa’s fast-growing consumer market, bringing together senior executives and buyers from the region’s leading retailers and emerging e-tailers in one place at one time.

DISTREE Russia & CIS 2015 also takes place in June. Frederic Simard, Director & Co-Founder at DISTREE Events, commented: “The 12th annual DISTREE Russia & CIS will take place in St Petersburg. The Russia & CIS market for technology and CE products continues to grow. DISTREE’s extensive channel database and long-term links to channel partners across the region ensures a high quality delegate base.”

DISTREE Brazil & Latin America (LatAm) is scheduled for September 2015, taking place in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Tawfik Djafari, Regional Director for DISTREE Brazil & Latin America, said: “Next year will be the fifth annual DISTREE event in Latin America. With all major distributors participating in the event – plus the top retailers from across the region – the event continues to give brands the chance to quickly and efficiently manage, build or launch routes-to-market in these fast-growing markets.”

The third annual DISTREE Asia Pacific (APAC) takes place in October 2015 with a larger exhibition area planned to accommodate growing vendor demand. Ashish Kapahi, Regional Director for DISTREE APAC, commented: “The third annual DISTREE APAC will build on this year’s successful event, which attracted 400-plus senior executives from across the region. The region’s channel partners now understand that the DISTREE format is a better way of doing business and we expect even more senior channel executives to attend in 2015.”
