Epson has announced its first A4 6-colour ink tank system photo printers with an LCD screen, the L850 and L810. Designed to deliver ultra-low-cost printing of photos, both will appeal to event photographers, photo labs, advertising agencies and education establishments looking for quick-fire and affordable photo printing. Able to produce a 10x15cm colour photo in just 12 seconds, the L850 and L810’s A4 print speeds are up to 37ppm in mono and 38ppm in colour.
Perhaps best of all for event photographers, the L850 and L810 don’t require a computer to print and – in the case of the L850 – scan and copy too. The latter scans directly to a memory card, while both can print from memory cards and directly from any camera with PictBridge. Both have a 6.9cm smart navigation touch-panel LCD screen to control all scan, copy and print functions.

And we’ve not forgotten about quality; inside the L850 is Epson’s own Micro Piezo technology and genuine Epson ink, which together guarantee precise, consistent and low-maintenance photo and colour document printing in A4 sizes.”
Both the L850 and L810 printers use Epson’s innovative ultra-high-capacity ink tank system (ITS) and come with a 1-year or 3,000-page manufacturer’s warranty. Created for scenarios where a high volume of photos and documents are required at the lowest possible cost, both the L850 and L810 use high-capacity 70ml ink bottles and print in six colours. This allows users to print up to 1800 15x10cm photos[2]. Fast ink top-up technology makes it easy and simple to refill without mess.Both the L850 and L810 can also print to CD/DVD.
