Taiwanese Display major Chimei has announced that it is now shifting its efforts to improve design features and connectivity on its recently released and upcoming TVs.
The company’s new 40-, 50- and 60-inch TVs will come equipped with panels from Samsung Display in addition to thinner bezels and curved features.
The company’s efforts are part of its strategy to stay competitive in the market, said sources at the company, adding that it is also focusing on connectivity through smart link, audio link and device link technologies.
Chimei will also release new 65-inch curved Ultra HD TVs at the beginning of 2015, the sources added.
