Silver Peak’s WAN optimisation solution delivers bandwidth utilisation by 5x, solutions to issues such as congestion and high packet loss, poor performance of real-time traffic and savings during implementation and operations.

“We are confident that our collaboration with Gulf IT Network will prove successful, allowing us to further penetrate the Middle East market and deploy our WAN optimisation solution across high-profile institutions to meet our business objectives,”said Bhaskar Peruri, regional sales manager for the Middle East at Silver Peak. “Our operation in the UAE highlighted the potential growth in the GCC and Levant market for a high-performing solution such as Silver Peak WAN optimisation.”

SaaS and public cloud computing continues to grow strongly, with most organisations utilising SaaS applications, as well as cloud infrastructure services. IDC forecasts that worldwide spending on public IT cloud services will grow from $47.4 billion in 2013 to $107 billion in 2017.

Over the next five years, while cloud computing’s popularity continues to grow, many enterprises will remain uncomfortable having all their workloads in the public cloud. The challenge for IT managers will be interconnecting hybrid public and private cloud resources in a manageable, secure network. Silver Peak, the leader in software-based WAN optimisation, provides customers with the fastest and easiest way to overcome network distance, quality and bandwidth challenges.

“We are delighted to have been appointed as distributor for Silver Peak, which delivers one of the industry’s most efficient WAN optimisation solutions. The tool demonstrates higher bandwidth utilisation, speed and cost savings in comparison to competitors enjoying a longer presence in the local market,” said Abdul Rahaman, regional sales director for Middle East and Africa at Gulf IT Network. “The advanced WAN optimisation solution has consistently met the varied needs of clients in different industry sectors.”

Silver Peak continues expansion in the Middle East with Gulf IT Network, which has committed significant local resources to the partnership, and which provide local language sales, technical support and services. Gulf IT, whose staff members have been technically trained by Silver Peak to support the growing client-base more effectively and efficiently, is looking to boost market reach in Kuwait, Levant, Saudi Arabia and across the Middle East region.
