Lenovo shows off new range of VIBE smartphones

Lenovo has launched the new VIBE X2, VIBE Z2 and VIBE Z2 Pro, in the Middle East region.The thin and light VIBE X2 makes a powerful statement with its unique design, advanced performance and innovative click-on accessories. As the world’s first layered smartphone, the VIBE X2 turns heads with its signature, gradient three layer design, available in a selection of three bold colors – white, red and gold– to suit individual styles.

The VIBE X2 is equipped with the new MediaTEK MT6595 4G LTE True8Core processor, which delivers superior performance with power-saving features that help boost battery life, keeping videos, games and photos running longer. Combined with the processor, the smartphone’s 5-inch FHD resolution display with wide-angle viewing makes using apps, photo and more seamless.

The Lenovo VIBE X2 packs two advanced cameras – the 5MP wide-angle front camera, featuring auto-shutter gesture controls which allow you to capture selfies by blinking your eyes or waving your hand and the 13MP auto-focus, rear-facing camera with a back-illuminated sensor and LED flash.

To further personalize and amplify the mobile experience, Lenovo is introducing two new innovative click-on accessories, known as VIBE Xtensions, that work seamlessly with the VIBE X2: VIBE X2 Battery and VIBE X2 JBL speaker. The ultra-thin (5.1mm) X2 Battery does double duty by protecting the phone while also extending its battery life by nearly up to 75 percent, while the VIBE X2 JBL Speaker serves to amplify the phone’s sound and comes with a convenient stand for hands-free use and built-in mic for group conference calls. The Lenovo VIBE X2 will be available in red, gold and white.

The VIBE Z2 sets a higher level for sleek trend-setting design with advanced performance and professional-grade photography features. Remarkably slim at just 7.8 mm thin, this smartphone takes vibrancy to the next level with its extra-bright 600nit rating on a 5.5-inch (1280×720) HD display, making it one of the brightest screens on the market today, to produce ultra-sharp photos and video playback, even in bright sunlight.

The VIBE Z2 is Lenovo’s first 64-bit powered smartphone, which means it will be able to take advantage of Google’s future versions of Android that supports high-performance 64-bit computing. The Vibe Z2 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 64-bit Quad Core 1.2GHz processor and is backed by a 3000mAh battery for all day battery life. Saving large amounts of data is simple with 32 GB of internal storage, and 4G LTE data speeds offer faster downloads and streaming while on the go. The VIBE Z2 also provides dual SIM support, which allows the phone to support two carrier plans, great for combining work and play in one device or for frequent travelers. The Lenovo VIBE Z2 will be available in Titanium Grey.

Exhibiting a large 6-inch screen with 2K resolution, the Dual-SIM VIBE Z2 Pro offers consumers an immersive multimedia experience. An advanced 16MP rear camera with image stabilization effortlessly captures brilliant photos and 4K videos rivaling high-end compact cameras. At just 7.7mm thin with a unique metallic brushed-weave design, the VIBE Z2 Pro promises stellar performance, in style, with the blazingly fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor.

The VIBE Z2 Pro is perfect for discerning, tech-savvy consumers who demand nothing less than an advanced smartphone that delivers the best-in-class entertainment and has the ability to run increasingly sophisticated apps.” VIBE Z2 Pro offers a wide range of pro photography features and, unlike other smartphones, the integrated 16MP rear camera uses a 16:9 BSI sensor that captures widescreen photos at full resolution. 4K resolution and high-speed 120fps recordings are also supported.

Optical image stabilization and an enhanced 6 element lens are incorporated to boost the already strong low-light shooting performance of the BSI senor. Shutterbugs will also appreciate Zero Shutter Lag, manual shooting settings and a HDR-ready custom SNAPit camera app. The VIBE Z2 Pro can be further set apart by its 6-inch display, producing razor-sharp and true-to-life visuals.
