TRA unveils the latest extensive mGovernment training programme

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has launched its intensive mgovernment Training Vision at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The mgovernment training vision will be delivered through several modules covering domains as wide as creating new Government processes with mobile, or enabling existing one through mobile; Mobile application design and architecture; Mobile application quality assurance and Mobile process fraud prevention.

TRA“Gitex is the perfect opportunity to share our mgovernment training progress with Government technologists, the private sector and other key influencers from the UAE and abroad. The event welcomes over 139,000 ICT Professionals from 144 countries of the top ICT brands worldwide,” said the Mohamed Naser Al Ghanim from TRA.

“By customizing training channels for each stakeholder and focusing on delivering increased efficiency and transparency, our training strongly supports our leaders’ vision to unite the Nation through knowledge, within the seven emirates but also across our national borders. A strong part of the training will focus on how to serve citizens and visitors in a highly satisfactory way, regardless of the location of the user or the timeframe of the service request. By improving convenience, facilitating better cross-department collaboration and allowing faster workflows, the training scheme aims to bring an increased efficiency that will reinforce the already stellar cyber reputation of the UAE,” DG added.

The mgovernment training program deployed by the TRA will benefit public servants by focusing on designing quality services and consistently identifying the best mobile technologies to meet citizens’ demands.

The trainings will also enhance the understanding of mgovernment amongst citizens by clarifying their expectations and involving students, considered as the Nation’s future technologists and policy makers.

Aiming to support the creation of a high-trust mobile technology ecosystem, the mgovernment training scheme targets over 2,000 individuals from the public sector, private companies and local communities, including both citizens and students. Uniting all parties through cutting edge industry insight, the mgovernment training program will strongly contribute to the UAE vision 2021 to build a competitive, resilient, flexible economy.

Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the mgovernment initiative introduced in May 2013 aims to provide a range of government services via smart devices and mobile platforms anytime and anywhere by 2015.
