SAP appoints new Country Sales Manager for Kuwait

SAP MENA announced the appointment of Ghassan Abu Asba to the role of country sales manager for Kuwait. Reporting to Gergi Abboud, Country Manager for SAP Kuwait and Qatar, Abu Asba will be responsible for driving the country’s field sales operations and ensuring accelerated momentum across all verticals.

Abu Asba is a Middle East IT industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience, including stints as Enterprise System Manager at Kuwait Computer Company and Kuwait Country Manager at HP, where he distinguished himself for overseeing headline-grabbing projects for clients such as Wataniya, Equate, Kuwait Stock Exchange, Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Finance.

In 2007, Abu Asba took on the role as Channel Manager at Cisco, focused on Kuwait and Bahrain, and, most recently, he was Regional Channel and Commercial Manager for Juniper in the North Gulf and Levant region.

SAP MENA is undergoing a period of robust growth and has been strengthening its presence by adding more than 100 new employees since August 2010, opened new offices recently in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and Qatar.
