Juniper networks with two new executives

Juniper Networks today announced two key appointments to its operations team. Bask Iyer has been appointed as senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) and Martin J. Garvin has been appointed senior vice president of manufacturing operations.

Iyer joins Juniper Networks from Honeywell, where he most recently served as company-wide CIO and a member of the leadership team driving its IT vision, strategy and operating plan.

While, Garvin most recently served as senior vice president and chief procurement officer at Dell, where he was responsible for the strategic leadership and operation of Dell’s global supply chain.

Iyer will be responsible for protecting all of Juniper Networks’ critical information, intellectual property and physical resources, as well as implementing a strategic plan that ensures all information technology systems are aligned to support the company’s multi-year growth agenda and operational objectives.

Garvin will be responsible for driving the company’s manufacturing and supply chain strategy, and continuing to advance processes, systems and tools to ensure predictable scalable delivery of quality products to Juniper customers worldwide. Iyer and Garvin will both report directly to Rose.
