Etisalat hosts ICT workshop in Ras Al Khaimah

Etisalat hosted a focused group workshop for organizations in the Ras Al Khaimah, to discuss emerging ICT trends and their application to their respective business environments and industry domains.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Kayed Al Qasimi, Vice Chairman of RAK Department for Economic Development, graced the event with his presence.

During the workshop, Etisalat provided strategic direction to RAK corporates to showcase how ICT (Information & Communication Technologies) can deliver the required impetus for businesses in the current economic situation and how organizations can leverage the emerging ICT solutions to create a long lasting business value.

The one day workshop focused on emerging ICT trends such as Cloud Computing, Mobility, e-Hosting and Smart City Solutions, while providing succinct case examples for successful Etisalat initiatives towards creating collaborative e-Government solutions.

With technology becoming increasingly important in the delivery of public services, Etisalat’s ICT workshop addressed key issues facing organizations today, whilst giving in-depth analysis through thought provoking discussions on relevant topics such as – online delivery of public services, harnessing mobility to achieve optimum efficiency, significance of data centre rationalization and outsourced managed services.

Speaking on the occasion Humaid Sultan Al Suwaidi, General Manager, Ras Al Khaimah, Etisalat said, “Organizations in Ras Al Khaimah face a considerable challenge to achieve operational efficiencies while ensuring significant budget savings and creating greater levels of transparency and customer efficiency at all levels. The focal point of the workshop was to guide organizations to create a sustainable ICT strategy for future, and leverage the already existing ICT infrastructure.
