Microsoft unveils Internet Explorer 9 Release Candidate

Microsoft today got one step closer to a final launch of IE 9, with unveiling of the Internet Explorer 9 Release Candidate (IE9 RC) after it successfully launched the IE9 Beta version in September 2010. Microsoft claims IE9 to be “reinvention of the browser,” with features like updated compatibility with web standards like HTML5, an overhaul of the user interface and hardware acceleration for apps running within the browser.

Microsoft has put the emphasis on security and privacy and tracking protection, is one of the key feature for IE9 RC, which uses a robust set of built-in security and privacy controls to better protect customers online. It also now claims that Chakra, the IE9 JavaScript engine, is the fastest engine, based on the SunSpider Benchmark.
