South African-based Pinnacle Africa has been appointed HP POS products distributor for the entire African continent.
This follows HP’s appointment of Pinnacle Africa as a PSG distributor 18 months ago, affirming HP’s strategy of penetrating the Tier 2 SME dealer channel through a partnership with Pinnacle.
“We have seen a remarkable growth of partners over the past 18 months and this is directly attributed to this new joint venture with Pinnacle Africa; together we will further build the customer base that Pinnacle currently serves,” says Paul Boshoff, HP’s Channel manager for the Personal System Group.
“We strongly believe that our POS product range will appeal to the South African market and grow our product reach through Pinnacle’s footprint across South Africa; we are confident that Pinnacle is the correct go-to-market partner.”
Louis Fourie, MD of Pinnacle Africa Gauteng, says the fact that the HP POS product range will be stocked by all its branches and offered to the broad base of resellers.
Phillip Labuschagne, Pinnacle’s POS divisional manager, believes this partnership will complement Pinnacle’s current offering to the channel: “We have the best product line in the world through the brands we represent.”
