Belkin, a provider of connectivity solutions, recently appointed Patrick Hayati as MD for Emerging Markets. The move is part of the company’s strategy to increase investment and focus in this region. Hayati will lead this effort, working closely with dedicated support teams, with a primary objective to establish further growth plans and achieve solid results for this region.

Hayati joined Belkin in early 2008 as Regional Director MEA and through his strong leadership has achieved phenomenal results for the connectivity brand, including double digit growth and more than 58% growth in net sales in the fiscal year 2009. Patrick was also responsible for restructuring the entire distribution strategy and as a result, strengthening Belkin’s Channel network across the MEA region.

Nima Ahmadinejad, Vice President, EMEA, Belkin BV comments: “It‘s a great pleasure for me to announce the promotion of Hayati as MD for our emerging markets. We truly believe that combined with his experience and strong background in the IT and Technology space, as well as his achievements for Belkin to date, Patrick will continue to contribute to driving Belkin’s future growth in the region, helping to widen our regional scope across the Consumer, SMB and Enterprise markets.”

Belkin is very positive about the MEA region and Emerging Markets and is optimistic in achieving further growth in 2010 and beyond, as the region represents many opportunities for Belkin to leverage and build upon.

Belkin will continue to invest in expanding their business in the Middle East through marketing, channels development, growing Belkin’s product offerings to consumers, and introducing state-of-the art product offerings in the market place for the Consumer, SMB market and Enterprise market.
